- Your car is the second largest investment you're likely to make.
- Never Drive a car that could be unsafe because of damages
- Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in
claims center before having your car repaired. You can do this,
or you may leave your car at our shop and ask that the insurance
company inspect the car here.
- You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate
or appraisal.
- You have the right to go to the repair shop of your choice.
Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular
shop.
- Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate
may not include all necessary work. If you're not sure why one estimate
is different from another you've received, please ask us.
- Choose a shop that has uni-body repair equipment and certified
(by I-Car or ASE, for example) technicians.
- Ask if the shop will be using genuine manufacturer (OEM) replacement
parts.
- Ask if the shop offers a repair warranty.
- Let us help you negotiate your claim with the insurance company.
What is a deductible?
A deductible is the portion of the total repair cost that you are responsible
for. It is like a co-pay that you choose at the purchase of the policy.
Can you save my deductible?
There are a lot of repair facilities who advertise to save your deductible.
What they fail to tell you is how they are able to do this. You should also
be told what part of the repair they are not going to do or what is going
to be sacrificed. I hope it is not the quality of the repair.
When do I pay my deductible?
When the repairs are completed to your satisfaction and ours. The insurance
check issued will be minus your deductible amount. At the time you pick
up your vehicle you will pay the deductible amount to WCI.
What are OEM Parts?
(Original Equipment Manufactured) which are parts made by the manufacturer
of your vehicle.
What are Aftermarket Parts?
These are parts not made by your vehicle manufacturer. They are also
known as Quality Replacement Parts. Aftermarket parts are much cheaper than
OEM parts and might not have the same fit and function as OEM parts. If
the insurance only pays for Aftermarket you have the option to pay the difference
and receive the same part your vehicle was manufactured with.
What are LKQ Parts?
LQK - (Like Kind & Quality) These are parts that generally come from salvage
yards. Salvage yards purchase damaged or totaled out vehicles, remove the
good parts and sell them as LKQ parts. All LKQ parts are inspected for prior
damage, rust, and to make sure they are OEM and not Aftermarket.
How long will the repairs take?
There are many factors to consider when estimating length of time for the
repairs. We know you depend on your transportation but rushing repairs could
result in a less satisfactory repair. Our professional estimators are happy
to estimate how long it will take and do our very best to meet that goal.
Remember we dont get paid until the job is complete so its to our advantage
to complete the work in a timely manner.
Will my vehicle drive the same?
Vehicles with frame or suspension damage will require a two or four-wheel
alignment. We have blueprints of every vehicle to insure that the frame
or unibody is returned to its pre-accident condition. With precise frame
repair and state-of-the-art alignment equipment your vehicle will drive
and handle the same as it was manufactured to do, except in cases when the
vehicle has wear on undamaged parts.
Will the color match?
With our highly skilled and trained professionals we are able to reproduce
the finish on your vehicle. We use only the highest of quality paint manufactured
by Sikkins. We not only duplicate the precise color but also the texture.
